If you want to provide instructions on how to use an application or certain Windows functions, screenshots and recordings are the best solution. There are countless programs with screenshot and recording capabilities, but only a few can match Screenpresso's functionality. Obviously, you can use the software to capture or record your screen or part of it, but the real advantage is the fact that it provides a comfortable and elegant user interface, which makes these tasks as simple as possible.

Screenpresso is compatible with both 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. The setup file is not large and you can install the software in a few moments. Alternatively, you can run the setup file and launch the software right away, without installing anything.

Screenpresso's compact interface will show up in the lower right corner of the screen, when you double click its system tray icon. Screenshots and recordings are displayed as thumbnails, in the window's central region. Options for capturing and recording the screen are neatly organized in separate pop-up menus.

You can take a snapshot or record the entire screen or draw a rectangle to capture a specific area. The software includes an autoscroll feature as well. If you have to scroll through certain contents, like a web page, you can use this feature to capture the entire page, from up to bottom, in a single image. The stored screenshots can be edited with Screenpresso's built in image processor. You can perform basic editing options, like inserting text, blurring certain areas of the picture, crop, resize and others. Alternatively, you can select different options, in a pop-up menu, to load the screenshot on a third party editor or image viewer.

A clear advantage is the fact that Screenpresso allows you to publish your screenshots or recordings. After selecting one or more items, you may click the Publish button to reveal a series of options for emailing your files or uploading them to various social medias or storage services. Everything is done in the same interface, without any effort. For example, if you want to upload your files to Dropbox, the application will display all your Dropbox folders in a tree structure. Of course, you must link Screenpresso to an account first, but this can be done in a matter of seconds.

Pros

The software provides a modern interface and its functions are very easy to understand. You may capture the whole screen or a specific region, edit screenshots, publish or send them by email and much more. Portability is another advantage of Screenpresso. You can install the software or choose to launch it right away.

Cons

A built in video editor would be a welcome addition. Due to its unique functionality, Screenpresso provides one of the best solutions for taking snapshots or recording a computer's desktop.
